The Steam store page looks great! Use of the Wildcat promo here is very good I think; great music, great tension, shows off the BB and ground attack with missiles.
I think this is going to be great for Aces High III.

Also, noting "In-App Purchases" might turn some away outright. This reminds a lot of MMO players of micro-transactions, or 'Pay for my little pony and extra bag space'.

For what WWIIOL offered, it was expensive. That game's air combat was laughable and limited. WWIIOL is like Mario Kart compared to Aces High. Also, that comment was made Aug 9 2017 [edit: updated date]. WWIIOL is obsolete and no longer supported last I recall. It looks like it has 1999 graphics and the gameplay is intolerable. So... yes... $15/month for that POS *RIGHT NOW* is correct.
$15/month is a low prices when you think about it. Hell, it's a low price when you pay it. That's one and a half movie tickets a month. How many movies have you seen this summer? That's 50 cents a day. That $2 bottle of soda you probably drank recently? 4 days of Aces High. If you drink 8 bottles of soda (or sobe tea or whatever your poison) a month, guess what? That's an AH subscription.
It's not a lot if you're actually interested in the game and actually want to play it. There are tons of ways to make the payment. Some people just don't want to move 1 muscle to get things.

May I suggest before you get the clubs out, let them get airborne with some speed up before you club them. Most youngins don't like spawn campers and will bail from the game rather quickly.

No AH login is required with steam. You simply launch with steam, and can go directly online with out any other login. And I have no desire to be able to move existing AH accounts over to steam, because each move would cost me 30%.

Because that's what Valve takes off the top, apparently. If they handle the transaction, they keep 30%. So moving all subs to Steam = losing 30% of all, instead of just 30% of the new.

One would assume that a long time player of the game would post a decent review instead of taking a dump all over the game he just posted that he loves and that the game will always hold a special place in his heart!
Why would you make such a negative review for Aces High 3, on the release date for AH3 on Steam, if you so dearly love the game... Seriously Krupinski, that was totally F'ed Up

Never used steam but ill get it this weekend and throw a good review on there. While i disagree with a few of the game mechanics.. I wont go take an E-turd on a game ive been playing 17 years, on the day it releases on a platform to attract new blood.

Hope Steam allows you to remove "Inflammatory" posts/threads/reviews that are made by people who have been PNG'ed or Banned and are trying to cast FALSE negative reviews and untruths about HTC and the gameI think it does. Steam's forum rules are similar to here - if you post trolling/inflammatory/accusatory statements, they can be flagged and taken down. And I think HTC reserves the right as well in the discussion/reviews area.
If you see a review that is nothing but a troll, flag it (bottom right corner).

So far the negative reviews seem to have been either players with a very short time in game who gave a quick thumbs down with little content to justify their rating, or the airing of dirty laundry against the devs. I've rated these reviews "unhelpful".
I think things will settle down after a time and we'll see a set of fair-minded, impartial reviews emerge, written by new players who've taken the time to explore the game and give all its facets a chance. I'm completely biased for the game but I'm interested in seeing some reviews by sincere players who take time to get familiar with all its features.

It’s good to “fly around” and “drive a tank” every once in a while. I catch with friends and “enemy” friends that “fly around” and “drive a tank” and we “kill each other”. It’s a hoot.
This is the only computer game I play, excepting Chess and I’ve played it for a long time (longer than some, not as long as others). If you don’t like the current format, gameplay or results find another pursuit or offer constructive input. I spent a great deal of time (too much really) trying to impose my ego onto a computer. It’s wasted. Have fun instead.
I’ve had as much fun with 15 people on as I’ve had with 150 on as I’ve had with 2 arenas, both almost full. The times when I haven’t had fun is directly correlated to my attitude at the time.
Anyway full Steam ahead (has that been used in this context yet?) <S>.

Previously he was requesting to be let back in, we simply asked him if he would abide by our BBS rules, and he would not agree to our rules for about a year.
Also I never posted email between us I only posted the content of an email I had sent him.
We never set his email as spam.
I am shocked, shocked that we don't wish to do business with a customer like Dolby's after his extreeeeeemely flattering review. The real question is why would he wish to do business with us?

I do my best to fix every posted bug. A simple look at the changes.txt files show how many.
The last physics upgrade was a change to the vehicle modeling a few months back.
As most people know disagreeing with us is no big deal. Being disruptive because of an opinion is what normally gets people in trouble, obviously dolby sorta proves the point why he was banned from the bbs for the exact behavior he is continuing.
So would anyone here wish to keep customers like Dolby (after his review on steam) around if they were the business owner?

Seems to me that you made a reasonable call. I appreciate anything you can do to minimize the personal drama here Hitech. Too much of that in rl already, I for one would like to leave that sort of behavior out of AH3, and rather prefer fostering a respectful community in AH3. Thank you.
