Cool! Does the FOV change in real time?
-
Yes I tested it this morning offline.

Not for me it doesn't. I have to click 'OK' to apply setting.

And that is the way it works. It is not real time, but does take effect when you hit "OK".

No problems with it. I was just answering cav58d's question. (and correcting bustrs' reply)

Took a look at it yesterday and played with it to both extents to see how much difference it makes.
One note of caution for other extremists: Setting the FOV affects the size of the Clipboard, too. Take note where the + sign on the Clipboard is located since it will shrink unreadable if you set the FOV to the max value. I'm not saying the max were unusable for those who like a fish eye view, just reminding that it affects everything that has a set location in the virtual 3D cockpit and its surroundings.

Real time = not having to close game and restart to update change to in game settings.

Nice addition HTC, for sure better for today's standard of video games UI.

Real Time = FOV changes as you are moving the slider. (clicking ok applies the setting after the fact.. Not real time)

It would be good to be able to map it to mouse wheel for quick real time adjustments.

Where is the FOV Slider located?
Thanks;

From the clipboard, when online or offline: Options->Graphic Detail

That is what zoom is for. I.E. Zoom and FOV = same thing.

Do the FOV slider numbers need to go to tenths of a degree?
I was playing with settings between 90 (what I believe is now default) and 106 (my custom setting) and found it difficult to dial (slide) in precisely those numbers when resetting it. However whenever I saved a setting and returned to the clipboard, it seemed to round the FOV number to the nearest whole number. (i.e. 89.7 became 90 and 106.1 became 106.)
If it is going to round it off, shouldn't the slider just use whole numbers?
