Unfair gameplay Cybro lands B5N on Cruiser rendering it visible to enemy base is this acceptable gameplay? (https://i.ibb.co/GJvSXfX/ahss0.png) (https://ibb.co/vBxnbCb)

Guess he didn't want to foul the deck.
I wonder if he can take off again so that he can land all his proxies.

Take it to him directly. Going public with this kinda stuff tends to find the subject quickly forgotten from my experience.

This has been brought up before… there is a link somewhere in a similar recent thread to an older post. Dale made it clear he is not going to do anything to limit inactive players in the arenas. However it was like 10 years ago or more so today’s answer may be different .
Of course I don’t know if that will be his response to you if you send it to him but there is only one way to know.

I'm fine with is until shelling a base or town results in it flashing the base.

Take it to him directly? How you gonna do that when he logs on for 2 min to get in position and then is gone gone for 12 hours only to come back for 2 minutes to land kills and log off.

I'm confused, isn't the ship always visible? He landed on the back of a ship on his own side? So he spends his time riding in an aircraft parked on the back of a ship, is that what your saying?

No, you can sail a CV right up to a coastal base, shell the town and base down to nothing and the only alert the the enemy will never be alerted as long as no planes take off from the carrier. It's a gross oversight in the game mechanics and it's exploited at every opportunity by the players that want to avoid combat in a combat game.

WWII US Navy radars could detect surface ships.

Eh. At least Cybro isn't moving CVs, then swapping countries to kill them... :uhoh

How is it any different then just sitting on the CV deck?

My question was not about an "alert", My question was about the ship being visible. The ship is visible, correct? So if I up at my costal base and an nme ship is off the coast , I'll see the ship, right?

Yeah, of course. You'll always see it visually.

I dont think it is. It certainly extends the spotter range of a CV group with someone park on the ship. An enemy can fly by just out side of ack range and may never spot a CV, but with someone park on it like that they will certainly see an Icon that isnt moving much in the middle of the sea.

How can a plane land on any ship besides a carrier?
Why is it permitted?
Gamey at the best..

Intended or not, how do you stop it with out Hitech becoming the Gestapo? "Oh well this player has been sitting on the deck for 5 minutes, he must be a spotter for the enemy and not waiting for his squad mates /s"
Its a very difficult thing to police imo.

A plane should not be able to land on any ship except the cv
You'd think programming that would not be too difficult
Maybe landing on a lvt or pt boat is next...

The ships go quickly more so during turning. Also landing is a big word. I usually settle for landing at least 60% on the parts between those two rear cranes and one of the gun turrets.

He didn't really land so much as crash slow enough to not explode.

But -- in February, things get BETTER!
Because --
Starting Feb 3 is the Masters of the Air scenario, to coincide with the Masters of the Air miniseries (done by the Band of Brothers team).
Waystin, Shuffler, Eagler (and any folks who haven't yet tried the glory that is scenarios -- we welcome scenario newcomers, too) can we get you guys into the 8th AF for this epic event? We've got P-51's, P-47's, (P-38's in frame 1), and B-17's for some 8th AF strategic bombing action.
Details here if interested: https://ahevents.net/index.php/events/scenarios/current-or-next-scenario
Trailer for the miniseries:

Many is the time in 8th AF scenarios I've had a Shuffler-piloted P-38 on the tail of my 109G. Or when I fly bombers, Shuffler up there working to get those buffs to target and back. <S>!

It's a nice jacket, but until 1944, not something issued by the LW. Pilots got them privately. It was based on Germans liking the French flight jackets of 1940.
There should be shore guns that fire automatically if fleets are in range like aa does now for planes
And the bases should flash...
Eagler
:rock More Shore Batteries also! Would keep Boats offshore, negating 'Feet Dry LVT Spawns'. UNLESS....the guns are destroyed first. While Guns don't really count..for Score,Perks or anything else...with low numbers like we have, this could help equal out CV launched fights? On Defence Side? Eh...I dont know. Auto Shore Batts...might be a good thing
