Not sure if anyone has seen the aces high reviews on the meta store for oculus rift...could be a huge reason why player base isn't growing so rapidly...there were 236 reviews...and a lot of them one star, because of hardware issues. I would imagine a lot of people would just be turned off from reading them.
Is there something we can do about this? Would love to see more players come to this game, like the old days!

I bet their glowing compared to the Steam store reviews. ;)
You could try and suppress them or learn from them. Like it or not it is a snapshot of how the market is reacting to the product.

The reviews read like the same person over and over again with an issue that I personally cannot replicate on my VR headset. :old:

It's a much more difficult game than either il2 or dcs as you can't do a career or campaign nor fly against canned AI missions...
AH is only live opponents who have already gone through the tough learning curve..
Younger players don't have the patience these days..maybe a form of adhd?

Others think that being a friend is to take an real interest in what is stopping you from reaching your potential and making honest concrete suggestions on what you might can do actually improve the situation rather than just circle the wagons and sing Kumbaya.
One wants to truly help. The other simply wants to be popular with the herd.
IMHO the 3 main factors causing the market to reject Aces High (in order of importance):
1. Graphics that have fallen too far behind current competitors to win the "curb appeal" battle.
2. Subscription only model that is out of step with current market expectations. Especially when there is no longer any new development occurring or planned.
3. To a much less degree, lack of any real viable SP content. SP is a great onboarding tool for MP and provides a safe space to ramp up in and provide younger players a way to get hooked on the game when their parents won't go for any subscription burden.

Well, I don't know who AG is, but HTC would be better severed by trying to improve it's own product and revenue rather than worrying about DCS' troubles.

And if you can't, or won't address those three issues, the only other solution I see is to try and concentrate on reactivating former players to come back now that that demographic cohort is just reaching retirement and the free time that provides.
But that is going to take additional effort at specifically reaching out to that population, and possibly some kind of sweetener to move the needle.
IMHO.

Thise kast two dcs interviews you posted here about s month ago? Those are both called PANIC. So really, hiw wuse are your choices. You seem to think you’re mr god kniw-it-all about sims, while you can’t see your own red flag choices.
Chances are if AH died mist will not being going to that golf sim. IL-2 would get mist. We’re not saving your game.

Its unfortunate that there are some people who, for what ever reason hate AH and spend an inordinate amount of time crapping on it. I posted over at "hoggit" on the reddit forums about AH running a "Battle of Britain" scenario and if your into the history of WWII air combat now is the time to join up on AH and get up to speed for one of the best scenarios to come around.
Now "hoggit" is mostly DCS people, but some guys seemed interested or at least didnt crap on the post but this one guy.... WOW! all he did was crap on anything to do with AH. "The 20 year old graphics suck! (technically the last graphics update was about 10 years ago so that would make them only 10 year old graphics :x ) Flight models suck! I'd rather fly in an arena with 12 other guys in jets then in AH with a 100 guys with those crappy graphics!"
I ended my posts with I was just letting some like minded sim guys know that AH is putting on a big scenario and linked Animls video of Masters of the Air as an example of what an AH scenario looks like. He stopped posting and Animls video got a bunch of views. Will that translate into some more guys joining up? I hope so.

I wish the film viewer were better so that it was easier to make decent-looking videos with it. It's buggy, and the video quality sucks in too many ways (clouds looking crappy, planes jumping around, wings disappearing instead of getting shot off, ships not being in the correct place while attacking -- lots of discrepancies between what you really see when you play vs. what you see in playing it back from film viewer).
To make vids that look OK, you pretty much have to do a vid capture. That takes such a giant amount of disk space, though.

Many effects only fire once per session. Using Set up shot capture is your friend. This way you save your scene so that you can restart the film for final take with capture and all effects firing. Plus you can’t jeep tweaking your scene and resave it. Its the key to stop pulling hair out. I’ll put a page together on how to use it.
I do my editing in AVI, it take god awful drive space, final build is MP4. You can capture and edit in MP4 to save in space.

I was going to deliver a 5star review but it seems you have to have downloaded the game from their app store.
HTC did a great job with the VR implementation here and those bad reviews are a joke of dumb noob kids who've never had to configure anything or have the sense to troubleshoot.

You’re right. Like knowingly selling planes they can’t support. And then full of players who think they are the all-knowing elitist, living in their own head.
Still to this day, no one can figure out why you’re here.
