Title: Operation Turkey Tail
Post by: mERv on April 28, 2025, 12:39:30 AM
Operatoin Turkey Tail commenced at 1045am cst as a Knight counter-offensive to the bish morning hurde. Knights we down 16% of their bases. Knights rolled on 4/27 into the early morning hours of 4/28. In total 39 bases were captured during the offensive. Momentum was quickly carried over to the rooks once 47% of Bishlam was conquered. Map reset at just after 12:30am cst. Fun weekend fellas see ya on the next one <S>

Knights #1 :ahand :neener: :x :bolt:

While I was on we had less than 10 in our group. Took about 8-10 bases. It doesn’t take a full country horde. And it left other fights to continue. We didn’t hook up a vacuum to the map.

You can’t complain about other countries taking large amounts of bases, such as 47%, and then also partake in said base rolling animl without expecting someone to call you out on it

Great job putting the bish in their place guys!

True enough

The point was making them experience what they put out continuously, almost nightly. This was just 1-2 nights out of 3 weeks of knit beat down.

I take responsibility for being a hypocrite, I also stand by my point. Full country hordes got way out of hand when it causes log offs

That said, bish took it like big boys, didn’t complain, took it on the chin. But again it was 1-2 nights compared to nightly against knits.

I only care when it affects numbers. Bish took it and took it, and as soon as I saw 3 log I myself went to rook front A28 to kick start a battle, to not be what I complain about, and told our group likewise. “I don’t want to be what I complain about”.

Fine line between teaching a lesson and becoming a hypocrite.

Will it actually make an impression, prolly not.

When I logged we took 5-7 rook bases and that took pressure off Bish

I had a bad night, so I wasn’t up to my normal suck par.

I’m prolly not the best making my point in text. Prolly offend some I don’t mean to offend. But reality is my hair is not on fire, I’m not spinning in circles with flailing arms screaming in foreign tongues. I just suck at text. I’m aware of myself

I assume that percentage was the Knights and the Rooks combined, correct??  :headscratch:

No sir

I made sure I pressed on my own. Once I had contributed to my 25% of bish bases and felt the front was secure from another 2v1 against Knights only then did I make the switch to fighting rooks.

10am-530pm focus was bish. What other knights did I do not control. The additional bases came from captures via goon by other players or by undefended bases away from FOB’s. I did not stop attacking bish when knights had 25%, I contributed to 25% of the +40%. Too many times I do just enough to watch it melt away when my team loses moral. It is just a game after all.

From 530pm to 1230am focus was rook.

I woke up determined to make my mark. I can not do what I do without the help of my team. Everyone does there part. My goal was to not allow the 24v 7 bish to knight fight before I logged on determine how that map played out. I lost a day of my life to this game to make sure that was the case. I’m satisfied with my teams and my own efforts yesterday and will rest my hat on that until my next aces high binder.

At no point were the knights at a numbers advantage. Bish chose to fight rooks. They did not suffer as the fight on that front stayed active til the reset. Not a single bish base went undefended. Every base I helped capture was defended.

Days like yesterday are more like work than play.

There is never a reason to take anymore than 30% of any country. Beat downs are never justified.

Let me repeat that again;

There is never a reason to take anymore than 30% of any country. Beat downs are never justified.

All 3 countries do it, as we all know.

Shane, I will pass on your (and mine) not caring for Buzzsaw.  :aok

I think Hitech needs to setup a trigger, if a certain percentage of bases of one country are captured by another country, IE 33%, it resets the map. No map win, no perks no warning. An option might be to just close the arena and move to the next map in the rotation.

That is just where we will have to agree to disagree. Hundreds of times over the last 14 years I have exhausted myself for hours working bases getting my team in position to win. The only way to guarantee a front will not crumble if pressed is to secure choke points. On the map that was up there are 2 "roads" to every island. If one does not secure those chains and the defending country is able to gain momentum, everything will fall. It happens over and over again. The bases at the center of the map are only capturable via goon, lvt, or the long m3 drive that takes 45 minutes. I did not work a single base near the center. When i invest my time I am looking for the best return on my time investment and those particular bases are too easy to defend.

Very few maps provide the opportunity to completely squash an opposing countries chance of launching a sustain counter-attack. I did not anticipate the success Knights had against the rooks Sunday night. I figured as usual the offensive would stall near the reset if we even got that close.

You bet your arse im not taking my foot off of the gas peddle until I am satisfied that if the map does not reset morning bish would have to reclaim twice the amount of bases required to win before the started accumulating Knight bases. Monday morning are notorious again for extreme high numbers on bishops. Im not going to see my efforts wasted all because im not there.

Time and time again I continue to experience the grieving in this game from that side. From cheater accusations to extreme hordes with low numbers. A while back I decided to fight fire with fire. This is not a good ol boy game or system. To win it requires time, effort, skill, and strategy. I will do whatver it takes to win up to the point of cheating via hack, flying off map, shade cheating ect. hence why on a map like yesterday I am not satisfied until I personally have taken 25% of bishop bases. I helped do just that. How others play with their $15 is not my right to dictate.

We started down 16% of our bases to bish when I logged on at 10am. On the only full day most people do no work and have the opportunity to play, I helped lead an offensive on one of the largest maps in the game that conqured twice the amount required to win AND reset the map as quickly as possible before calling it quits. Had bishops rallied they still would not have been able to stop the reset. That is virtual war. If one does not "like" it all you have to do is log in and try to stop it. Isnt that the way it goes in regards to the morning bish horde? Which has deviled the MA with morning imbalance and primetime hordes for almost the last decade?

Kenai77 you are loved and respected by this community and myself. We just do not see eye to eye. Your influence on this game is substantial. You are allowed to make changes in this game that NOBODY can. Your influence can make the difference as Dale trusts you. If the games structure isnt going to change, if we arent going to get Aces High 4 the final edition, you can voice your opinion on matters such as these but the chaos will continue.

The difference between Bishops and Knights in regards to this whole topic of what's fair and what's toxic is this. The only thing that really matters, the only thing that really touches a player and how they play in the MA, is to take bases and work strats. its not in the individual fights between gvs and fighters. Bish horde and roll fronts when nobody is on to stop it. When its done to them it happens when people are logged on. The whine but can do nothing about it.

The knights whine just like the rest. Unlike the bishops, we continue to dig ourselves out over and over everyday. We DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. We put the shoe on the other foot when folks are on. Not everday but enough to continue to fuel the current resistance against the #1 country in AH3 today  :neener:

If the power of suggestion doesn’t work, nothing will.
It’s been suggested 100s of times. Quite frankly I give up. Everything is an undue uphill battle with no rewards.

The bbs front page is just an example for us trying to promote. Instead of clearing the way obstacles are thrown at us and allowed in an already tough position. Which was fine when ya had competing graphics. We don’t.  Discouragement is prevailing.

When ya let FORMER players (home town-ish buddies) who haven’t players in 10+ yrs have more say so than paying players we are just Fd. As a pattern, Almost every problem child here is from TX. Go figure.

The map is here to stay

AKIron, Cot.Trips, Skyyr (Jon Ray) V, a few others,  from the same area of TX.

No chance, never was.
Since these post of other sims, MA numbers plummeted to maxing at 70, last night average was 51 since these post were allowed by disgruntled former players. In 2 days you went from 100-110 to 70. If the weekend is this low, stick a fork in it.
You’ll be lucky if it last past mid summer at this rate.

These 4-5 former players are in glee. They are “ killin it!”
Remember who did this to all of you.

My name will not promote this nonsense. Top it off, I’m the one who got the warning. Knife in back

I have experienced the samething a time or two. I kept coming back because the lights stayed on. Now im trying to coach and cheer for you during your journey through the fire. Life is something

They only thing that makes a difference in this game are the short-term fruits of our labor in the main arena. Simplify your approach vector, counter crosswinds with rudder, and utilize your gifts regardless of recogniton. Do this you will not only survive but thrive in the wake of this season :aok

“one can accidentally drop the ball only so many times before the word accidentally becomes intensional”

That war cannot be won.

This is not a joke or threat, this is real life.

I’ve seen this frog fart in the water before. This time I’m pulling the rip cord.

The blame is obvious. They are laughing at you

My lack of logging in has nothing to do with other games.  Its how the remaining here play the game.

If there isn't some way of drawing some more players in to drown out this dweebery, the typical summer numbers drop might be what sinks the ship.

Then again, there will always be those that enjoy shooting at buildings.

For those that say they don't like the idea of AI in the MA might want to change your tune.  At least they don't run from you.

They aren’t “drawing” the players, they are discouraging them. They want the game dead. They may not draw one player. These sims hav been around for 20+ yrs, they don’t bring new news.

Ruin your day?
Not once did I say I was leaving, not once. Not logging in during gang bangs isn’t leaving. I said I’m not drawing you an audience with my name. Since you’re deeply incapable, I stated clearly “see you in whats left of the MA”

Did I break your sweet little heart?

As long as your type is here I’m not lifting one finger. Even that is questionable.  Mission accomplished?

Comedy Gold™.

Back in the Fall when numbers were rising he was thumping his chest crowing about how he had turned things around with his videos and marketing efforts!  AH was turning the corner!  Only he can fix it!  It was explained to him it was normal to see a Winter bump.  Even Lusche tried to explain it to him.

Now the Summer lull has arrived and it's SABOTAGE!  Someone is stabbing him in the back ruining his efforts!  He is a martyr sacrificing himself for AH and he has had enough of not being appreciated!!!!

Sigh.  There is an ongoing seasonal cyclic fluctuation super-imposed on a long term downward trend line that has been largely following the same path since 2009'ish.  Though it has shallowed somewhat in recent year to the bedrock base, that then attrits at mortality rate for that demographic (which is up near expiry date).

Gotta run during overcast and May Flies are out. Last time I caught 112 fish, couldn’t fish with two polled

Water is about 50 degrees, perfect for walleye
