There is never a reason to take anymore than 30% of any country. Beat downs are never justified.
That is just where we will have to agree to disagree. Hundreds of times over the last 14 years I have exhausted myself for hours working bases getting my team in position to win. The only way to guarantee a front will not crumble if pressed is to secure choke points. On the map that was up there are 2 "roads" to every island. If one does not secure those chains and the defending country is able to gain momentum, everything will fall. It happens over and over again. The bases at the center of the map are only capturable via goon, lvt, or the long m3 drive that takes 45 minutes. I did not work a single base near the center. When i invest my time I am looking for the best return on my time investment and those particular bases are too easy to defend.
Very few maps provide the opportunity to completely squash an opposing countries chance of launching a sustain counter-attack. I did not anticipate the success Knights had against the rooks Sunday night. I figured as usual the offensive would stall near the reset if we even got that close.
You bet your arse im not taking my foot off of the gas peddle until I am satisfied that if the map does not reset morning bish would have to reclaim twice the amount of bases required to win before the started accumulating Knight bases. Monday morning are notorious again for extreme high numbers on bishops. Im not going to see my efforts wasted all because im not there.
Time and time again I continue to experience the grieving in this game from that side. From cheater accusations to extreme hordes with low numbers. A while back I decided to fight fire with fire. This is not a good ol boy game or system. To win it requires time, effort, skill, and strategy. I will do whatver it takes to win up to the point of cheating via hack, flying off map, shade cheating ect. hence why on a map like yesterday I am not satisfied until I personally have taken 25% of bishop bases. I helped do just that. How others play with their $15 is not my right to dictate.
We started down 16% of our bases to bish when I logged on at 10am. On the only full day most people do no work and have the opportunity to play, I helped lead an offensive on one of the largest maps in the game that conqured twice the amount required to win AND reset the map as quickly as possible before calling it quits. Had bishops rallied they still would not have been able to stop the reset. That is virtual war. If one does not "like" it all you have to do is log in and try to stop it. Isnt that the way it goes in regards to the morning bish horde? Which has deviled the MA with morning imbalance and primetime hordes for almost the last decade?
Kenai77 you are loved and respected by this community and myself. We just do not see eye to eye. Your influence on this game is substantial. You are allowed to make changes in this game that NOBODY can. Your influence can make the difference as Dale trusts you. If the games structure isnt going to change, if we arent going to get Aces High 4 the final edition, you can voice your opinion on matters such as these but the chaos will continue.
The difference between Bishops and Knights in regards to this whole topic of what's fair and what's toxic is this. The only thing that really matters, the only thing that really touches a player and how they play in the MA, is to take bases and work strats. its not in the individual fights between gvs and fighters. Bish horde and roll fronts when nobody is on to stop it. When its done to them it happens when people are logged on. The whine but can do nothing about it.
The knights whine just like the rest. Unlike the bishops, we continue to dig ourselves out over and over everyday. We DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. We put the shoe on the other foot when folks are on. Not everday but enough to continue to fuel the current resistance against the #1 country in AH3 today
