Last night there were 52 bench/tower sitters at one time, for a period of time.
Much like “runners”, “bailers” and “nose pickers”, there are a lot of variables as to why. Why is not the question nor subject.
Does it affect things like ENY? Is.
Last time this came up, how many could decide changes.
When the average MA population is 90-120, 52 is half the MA pop.
52 could surely do it. Not only that but a group could abuse this loophole.
Seems to me if it affects any settings it deserves some attention.
Some ideas were, timeout, not counting tower sitters towards ENY at all.
IMO, this possible loophole would need thought, whether 100 or 1000 pop. Lower numbers just exposes it more.
I did not notice change, I only noticed 52 was a hefty number.

Tower sitters directly affect ENY because eny is not dictated by players in rhe air but players logged in. When ia player logs in only to sit in the tower one must ask are they really using that "other" account correctly? Shades are alive and well....
BTW a shade isnt just another players account. A shade is a shade when it is not on the same country as the primary account of the player.

I highly doubt there are that many using shades.
Proving shade accounts can really only be proven via HTC and account data. Anything else is assumption, different solution, even if correct. Thats a side issue to the point.
Shades or not, the issue remans.
One problem with a fix is constantly changing numbers and ENY, literally minute to minute.

Hitech seems to be amiable to excluding tower sitters in the ENY calculation. Fugitive suggested that several months ago. I mentioned it to him at one of our visits, he said he hadn't thought of that, but it could be done.
