I bought a new powered USB hub, and STILL, I have to crawl under my desk and unplug, replug in my Pro pedals after any length of time not using them to get them to be active.

I run it with a Saitek X45, WINXP.

Someone here has to have figured this out. It was the same on 3 diffrent computers if that helps.

is your hub under your desk? You have the pedals plugged into the hub right?

Nope, actually when I used the powered hub, it was worse, so Im back into the computers back hardmounted usb ports.

It's ok as long as I unplug and then replug and use them fairly consistantly.

I really don't get it, and I sometimes pride myself on troubleshooting the obvious. This has got me miffed though.

There is a checkbox in device manager that says something like "Allow Windows to shut down this device" etc.  It usually has something to do with power managment (i.e. notebook, desktop)  in the Control Panel.  I can't be bothered to look it up- Check it out yourself :-)

Case solved.

SIIG,Inc USB 2.0 + Firewire card.

It adds 3 USD ports, USB 2.0, takes my Sony Digicam DV input work well with the complete DV kit, and my pedals now always work.

Worth the purchase for Saitek/CH Pro Pedals users that had this problem, and adds so much more.

Thanks for the input though.
