aye waffle.

i was thinking about what you said perhaps your right.

i was planning to make my whole p40 file available for anyone wanting to use it but maybe I should just make the panel lines and rivets layer available as reference for other players.

ive found very effective method of making chipped paint and metal though that i want to share and should probably make that available as a separate file tutorial.

S!

we need a damned skinning forum bad
Fester was my in game name until September 2013

Well, Pyro said the BBS will be down for maintainance tomorrow for a few hours.....maybe we'll see a skinners forum when they're done.

Only thing, how we gonna sort through all the old post to put em in the appropriate place....lol

Also, If any one is wondering why I did the file as a complete profile....you'll notice that alot of skins are broken up into 1/2s (front, back) and sometimes there a middle "joiner" piece thats stretched out, or conformed somehow.

Doing it this way allows for a consistant color, with weathering /shading matched up. After I got the plane where I like it, I flattened the image then cut and pasted that to the 1024x1024 map. Then I went and added touch ups and a few more layers for metal wear, ect... just small final details.

Paint Shop Pro 7 should allow you to convert and view .psd files from Photoshop 6 and up. At least I remember seeing that somewhere. At the very least you can google it to see what others have done.

Hey Fester, what's wrong with this?

http://www.ah-skins.com/

Although I guess it would be nice to have a forum here.

I notice the AH II Bug Forum is gone. Maybe they're making room.

Which programs are good for making skins, and where can you buy them affordably?

And when are they going to fix the P-38 so it can be skinned? (For Pyro)

Pryo & HT oughta just link to http://www.ah-skins.com/  from this BBS & give the webmasters free membership as long as they keep the website up & running as well as HT would expect.  :)

Just my 2 cents.
