I know there are a few diplomacy players here and others with interest in similar games. So, like last year I am gonna pitch this one.
Civil War Online Its a play-by-email game that is both strategic and tactical in nature, with modules for diplomatic matters, Naval rules, basically everything. The game begins next month I believe, and will start by getting players into thier various states and forming the governments of each nation. New players have to pass the War College (its pretty easy) before joining the game, and will ikely spend thier first time around as a brigade commander, though higher positions have been given to newb's in the past (especially last year). As a 2nd timer last year, I was given command of the gulf coast defenses and a rank of full general. I'll probably not be ranked so high this time around, which is cool, since high command can be quite a headache in this game.
So, if you are one of those armchair generals or have an interest in the Civil War era, check it out.
PS Boozer, this is not MY game which you played a bit earlier. However, most of the players in my game were from this game. this one is somewhat similar to mine as far as the basic gameplay, but much better.
