Sikboy those charts are misleading.  The B-26 is not supercharged so taking one to 25k with bombs might as well be impossible, it’s just not worth it.  Look at the MP at 15k or 16k,  it’s about 20 inches IIRC.  Wep will get you fast enough to porpoise higher by flying level until you bank some speed and then you can climb about 500 feet at a time, it’s lots of work and hard to hold.
Easy in-game again.

They don't mislead from the point I was trying to make, which was that B-17s would have come in higher and faster than B-26s.

Ok, I didn't post this to get chopped up and proven wrong. This was my initial reaction after the event and was largely based on the fact that the 51D was included, which it wasn't. I never saw a 51 during the event myself, only heard what others told me.
And if you say the 9th AAF was flying B26s I'm not the one to argue because I know little of the composition of the USAAFs.

I appreciate the effort you have put into planning this event, I did it in FA a few years ago and know how much work it is.

All in all it was a good event, what I'm looking for in a event is a good level of historical accuracy and fairly well balanced sides. My initial statement that the event was slated for allied victory was based upon 1) P51D and 2) B26 was used instead of 17s. I know now both of these were wrong so it's all good.

I guess what I'm trying to say here is that I got the facts wrong and I'm not the one to argue about it. Thanks for a good event. I hope there will be more events of this type coming up in the future.

Sorry if I came across as Chopping you Up :D

Like I said dont sweat it, In the heat of battle I posted about seeing 109G10's when in fact they were G-6's all along.
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

I wasn't intending to chop you up either.  Rather than say they had B-26's I figured it best to have some references to back up my claim:)

As a former CM, I know what kind of effort it takes to create one of these Squad Ops.  And I also know that any mistakes will be quickly caught by the community - they know their stuff.

Do not hesitate to suggest good, bad in any event.  Player comments and suggestions improve these events.  As I said, it's time for lower altitudes......

If you want to go low alt I'd recommend the Battle of Britain 1940, low and med alt bomber raids. Africa is also good if there's a map for it, most fighting in africa was low alt as far as I know.

The early war planes are a lot of fun imo since they aren't as brutal in performance nor killing power. Makes for longer fights and probably closer range engagements.
