Good post. Nostalgia is like a paralyzing opiate - fun, but paralyzing.

Some squads, like the Gunfighters specialized in Bloodpigs (gunned A26/B-25's) and Deathstars (light, gunned B-17's). DeadDuck and his sidekick Wolfman were more often than not, found stallfighting in an empty B-17, and Pyro and Rabid were a great team in the B-25. I gunned for them some, but I was (and still am) an absolutely awful shot in a gun position, but I always had fun.

You could say I was part of the end of the first "good old days" as I was one of the "SVGA dweebs" that invaded AW in '93 with the release of the Box game.

Yup we all have our own good ol days. Mine was on Gamestorm in Air Warrior when it was new to me. Actually flying against real people all over the world. Although I was better in EA than back in Gamestorm..the feeling I had back in GS was unforgettable.

As for the trash talkers...I find it more fun to make fun of them than to argue with them...since they are the only ones who are ever right.
