My motive was to point out your rediculous statement.

Any more than that is in your mind.

My ridiculous statment?

That folks like Gunslinger and everyone in a desert, or in states like Georgia, Alabama, Montana, Utah, ought not be so freaked out about terrorism? That it won't touch them because, hell - nobody knows where they are and there is nothing worth blowing up?

That  one?

And to "point" this out, you tell me that, well, in actual fact, you have to take your shoes off?

Give me a fricken break.

That's just stupid Holden.

You could have said:

"It's true that  there remains a terrorist threat and I support Bush's efforts in this regard because..."

You could have said:

"It's true that there remains a terrorist threat, but there are many things we could do better, including...."

Something along those lines....

No... Instead you throw this dumb little shoe thing into the mix to say in effect: "Yes! Terrorsists have touched us! I have to take my damned shoes off!"

To me? That looks like digging for something to say.

This is beside the thread, but it is constant with you. I'm baffled at your reaction when getting called on it. Who the hell is it a surprise to?

Holden Just live for one second in the world that is Nash.  In his world the only people that should and have to worry about terrorisim are New Yorkers.  People in LA can have "slight" worries.

Either way they can ONLY worry about terrorist attacks that have allready happened.  Nothing new can be dreamed up because we all know that terrorists only strike NY and MAYBE LA.  They will ONLY use airplanes to hit buidlings.  Things like Subaways, busses, nuke plants, chemical plants should not be guarded because these things have never been attacked before.  We shouldn't at all worry about dangerous criminals aquiring high amounts of explosive making materials who rent Uhaul vans and blow up federal buildings because that ONLY happens in the midwest, and the guy wasn't arab so he's probably not a terrorist.

Anyone anywhere else has NOTHING to worry about because there are no Muslim Fanatics living outside of LA and NY.  There are none of them going to various universities accross the country on student visas that expired.  Terrorists can't possibly buy maps at the loca 7-11s that they work at because they must be ilitierate.  Even if they could buy these maps there is no way they can find any other city than NY or LA.

Welcome to Nash's world, try the Nachos, avoid the Kool-aid.

I could have said many things to show that your statement saying (more or less) that one had to be directly involved in the flame and shrapnel to effected by terrorism.

I showed you a obvious example that had a thread of humor. I could have said that my tax dollars are supporting troops all over the world, I could have said something about the patriot act, or that my freedom to call Uncle Osama has been curtailed.  There are effects too numerous to mention that do not entail dodging falling debris.

There is even an effect on you.  Due to this thread on terrorism, your blood pressure is going up while I sit here and smile.

Please don't take so long of a hiatus next time, you need to let the pressure out over a longer period.

it`ll look something like this when they`re done:

but I take a bus like this to work every day...do I have a choice? The only choice I have is not to think about it, and I don`t think about it when I go out on the weekend to a bar or when I go to sleep at home I don`t think about the missiles full of nervgas the syrians have aimed at me ...
I just hope these guys do their job:

I have more to worry about than most posting in here, I live 20 miles from the Ambassador Bridge and the Windsor/Detroit Tunnel connecting Detroit and Windsor (these two have the most border crossings on the US/Canada border, and it rivals the Mexican border).   Commercial flights ain't **it compared to the long waits to cross.

But then again, I don't have to bash EITHER govt. that is doing it's best at preventing another attack.  If one does, it does.  If one doesn't, one doesn't.  I'm not gonna lose sleep either way.

Looks like Nash came out of hiding long enough to rip us all for not hiding in the closet like he and wishing the bad men would go away.

nash... I am not in the least afraid of terrorists and I do not believe in taking away rights of citizens to guard against em.

I know that the next terrorist attack will be in a blue state or city and kill only blue voters and the odd suck up canadian visitor.

Not a problem for me.

Don't worry about it unless you live in a blue area.
