New Game Project.
« on: June 15, 2006, 10:25:41 AM »
I'll get the pics in once I can. But the new project is for jeep racing. This was inspired by frank3's M8 races he performed in his coop mission's arena.

Anyways, i'm using xjazz's favorite 3D blender. Using python version: 2.4

I'm building a track for jeep racing. So far I have completed the first part of the track, and the bank into turn 1. One problem im having is attempting to extrude the turn area where the face and the guardrails extrude together, but once they do, they extrude to the sides, and not straight forwards they way the should. The second problem is I cant figure out how to script python so I get an object that is the size necessary to fit into the OE.

I succesfully uploaded the .ac file into the OE, but couldnt see it until I pressed: View Selected. That's the problem. If a jeep wanted to race on it he would have to be a microscopic insect.

So, that's the two problems. But so far im doing good for my first attempt at 3D designing!

Can't help you with the first problem, but about the second - just enlarge the whole object in blender.

And most people here are using ac3d.

I tried the second tip before I submitted post. I made it so huge it went off the sides of the editing area. (and I zoomed out all the way) still microscopic. And just so you know, this thing exports as ac3d. Just a diff prog!

Thanks anyways
