White Screen of Death
« on: August 15, 2006, 10:49:10 PM »
First time Ive seen this one and I dont know what to do. I have the 91.31 drivers for Nvidia. I play all the time and I havent made any changes I can think of but suddenly today the game closes I get a white screen and the send report popup.
If you like the Sick Puppy Custom Sound Pack the please consider contributing for future updates by sending a months dues to Hitech Creations for account "Chalenge." Every little bit helps.

Your not alone Chalenge   This happened to me the other day.

Seems to be very random happened alot after the patch but smoothed out.
The only thing i could relate it to was alt+ tabbing from game then going back in and also playing with gamma slider when night time comes.

I tend not to mix these two things and the blank white screen rarely occurs.

You are going to have problems with NVidia's 9x.xx drivers.  They have some serious issues in those drivers.  If possible (not always possible if you have the latest video card from NVidia), go back to the 8x.xx drivers.

If you are running a 5000 series, or earlier, use the 61.77 drivers.

I'm having that same problem right now, I've been playing for months now maybe a little over a year now, never no problems... But for some reason now when I try to play, I'll open the game, click online arenas and I get a white screen, then it crashes and kicks me out bat to desktop with a report window open, I thought well maybe it's just the online arenas, so I tried offline practice, and the same thing, I tried running a 8 player game same thing... So finally I said the hell with it, deleted AH all together, and re downloaded again, installed it, and gave it a try again, and what do you know, the same white screen, then back to desktop with report window open again.... What's going on?
