I'm sure this has been brought up once or twice but I was in the Special Events Arena last night and did the "Snap Shot" deal and noticed Snow, thick clouds, and the ocean even had ripples.  I just thought this was cool and would like to see more of this kind of terrain in the MA's.

It is getting to boring upping on a bright sunny day with no weather related challenges.  Not every day during WWII was blue skies, green grass, & sunny!!!

Ppl who don't like it on should really get over it.  Sunny every day= bla

P.S.
Also Night Flights would be cool :)

I wouldn't mind little storm cells that moved across the map... being able to dive away into a squall would be really cool. It'd add some flavor to the fights.... problem is arena wind is 0... so the clouds wouldn't go anywhere.

I also think the wind is set to 0 to keep any side from having an advantage, so it probably won't be changed :(

As far as I know, the only time we even get wind is during special events :(

Yes but if AH want's to be historically correct why not!!!

All those planes had to deal with weather in real life.  Again not every day wasn't sunny and nice... you might as well serve up cupckaes for all that kiddies and put up a Lemonade stand.

Do you guys know what I'm trying to get at?

Actually, in AH, wind and clouds do not affect each other. You can have moving clouds without wind, they are separate functions.

Rattfink, thanks for the compliments... we put a lot of time into coming up with different atmospheres for our terrains. If you guys want to enjoy them more, take part in more SEA events, Snapshots, Close Escorts, Squad Ops, etc. Also fly the AvA when those terrains are up. :)

Oooh... then GIMME RAIN STORMS HT! :)

wish I could hit more events :( I think it's great when CV's have to be turned into the wind for landing. My schedule disagrees though :(

This is a good point, if it's a switchable effect like ground vis, people could turn it off and tactically it would be worthless.

It would be really nice but only for special arenas, not for MAs.

Wind, rain, snow, fog, heavy cloud cover.  would all be great,  on a gradient, with wind shifting every few hundred feet.  As it really is; just look at a winds aloft report. maybe some solid IFR.   Each airfield could have a beacon to home in on.
