Editor keeps crashing on startup, new issue

used it just fine before, no problems at all, now I try ti use it and it opens, sits there for maybe 5 seconds.. and crashes...

Is it version 0.80 or Version 0.80 Patch 1?

There was a new version released when the latest AH patch came out.

I just installed AHMISSEDIT0801.EXE, and the resultant exe file crashes on startup.

Me too. Can't enter editor, and can't even enter the "offline missions" part of the game without crashing.

Same problem here...  worked fine before the last game update.  Now it comes up briefly and crashes.

And I was having so much fun too...

OKAY, GOT IT WORKING...  (I am using Vista OS arrgh  )

1.  Deleted Old Version
2.  Downloaded new version with patch
3.  Installed using option "Run As Administrator"
4.  Clicked on option "Install with recommended settings"

Now it works fine.

Same crash here.  Running XP Pro, never had any older versions of the Mission Editor installed, it just crashes on launch after 5-10 seconds.

Help me, Obi-wan Kenobe. You're my only hope.

Bino if you already have the version .80 patch 1. The only thing I can tell you is to uninstall the editor and re-download and re-install it. This may help.

That did the trick!

No specific uninstall was readily apparent, so I manually went in and removed the "C:\Program Files\HTC\Aces High II\ahedmiss.exe" file.  Then I just grabbed the version 0.80 Patch 1 file and re-installed.  I guess I must have installed the wrong version the first time?
