flat sissors help

I have been doing flat sissors as a defense often, i usualy fly a spit, but other planes have more flaps options. normaly when i do flat sissors i dont use flaps. my question what is the best use of throttle and flaps in a flat sissors?

what ever keeps you alive your goal in any scissors is to force the enemy to over shoot I almost always use flaps when available and throttle setting depends on the enemy's E status
