My point is that the "default" color of actual German WW2 tanks was Tan, not Green.

Can't find any actual pictures of a panzer IV in color.  Everything is either a model, a profile, or a modern restoration, but they are predominantly Tan.

The deal with the scout car is it is Grey, in the desert.  A Tan environment.

The problem with the "different default" is it just wasn't so.

What you need is more variety in the color of the environment.

I understand that WW i got into it with Guppy about it before.. Show me a picture of the panzer we have with this color in actual combat.......

I do have the other skins turned off and the Panzer does stick out. I use the M-4 almost always not so much because of the gun (That is nice) but because it blends in so good. I see a Panzer so far way most time I kill them with a long range shot before the ever see my M-4. So while I like the way it is I do see the point. I Have my other skins turned off for frame rate issues more than the fact I can see a Panzer from two county's away but that is a nice benefit.

Thank U WRongway....Thats my point.... those tanks match the surroundings. We have MAPS that are differant color than the default skin on the panzer...So while we have the historical default skin.... Im not seeing a historical map setting or color.
\           We have very green maps with a really orange looking panzer.

A yellow tank on green im not buying what your selling. Dont make me break out PHotoshop and color sample the picture.

You mean something more like this?

 :D

Actually this is the only other historic color that I'm aware of and I've also seen it in alight grey/dark grey camo scheme:

I have never since I've played AH downloaded or used anything but default skins so I always have disable other players skins turned on.  I certainly don't want to be forced to clutter up my computer with things I don't want or need.  The default skins are all fine by me but a grey Panzer default would be ok.
I edit a lot of my posts.  Get used to it.

Go ahead.  I just linked from the sight Greebo put the link to above.

I think it's more an issue of terrain than the default skin.  The skin matches what the Germans used.

I also think that movement plays a major factor no matter the color.  The eye is attracted to movement.  A well concealed Tan tank is as hard as a well concealed green tank to see for me until it fires.

You say you see them before they see you.  i imagine they are moving and you are not?

Looking at the Panzer IV skins at http://www.netaces.org/skins/skins.htm I notice the default skin's brown seems a lot brighter than the photos posted in this thread. Airmess' skins seem to be closer to reality and would stand out less in the MA. Maybe one of Airmess' skins could become the default.

The Airmess color for default may be the ticket in the current terrain we have. I will miss seeing a Panzer almost as soon as it spawns up if the Airmess becomes the the new default skin. That will sure lower the kill rate for many of us M-4 drivers so I hope it don't happen now that I think about it lol.
