Seeing how in WW2,kamikazes were only Japanese planes.(Well, those brave Swordfish pilots that damaged the Bismark were too I guess)...Why not have it that only Japanese planes can sink ships? It would take several loaded KI61's,N1K2's or a good number of zekes to sink a CV...Disable bomb damage on CV's and Destroyers from all planes except Japanese. What do you guys think on this idea or am I just a divine fool?.. :)

Thats an interesting idea but since theres no restriction on which AH country can fly what aircraft everyone attacking the cruiser/carrier would just fly in a jap plane.

Also I doubt that the current game code would allow this, but of course I'm not 100% sure on that.

I guess I am touching on the subject of 1 heavy plae(eg..p38) being able to sink a CV.I am thinking this would add to realism AND gameplay. And of course bombers are fine with killing ships...jpeg,Japanese planes are not restricted for any one side so an attempt at sinking a flat-top would require several "one way Charlies" and perhaps a couple of escorts..Just like in 1945...And perhaps you might see a few missions to attack and sink carrier forces instead of the common 1 hvy fighter(almost always american plane)..<S!>

So a Swordfish biplane will no longer be able to torpedo a Bismark and hit it's rudder?

Good idea.  Can I take it one step further?

Beside only IJN or IJAAF aircraft perk the iron and rocket ordinance in AH.  To carry any ordinance, besides gun ammo or torpedos, it would cost 1 perk point per load.  Then have it so that anytime someone wants to be a "hero boy" and they choose to protect thier base at all costs by going out in a dweebish blaze of glory with a lame DivineHotwind stunt on a CV they lose all thier perk points. PLUS! They go into the hole for 300 more. This will replicate death well enough. Then they will have to fly fighters or empty bombers for about a week or two before they can get enough points to suicide bomb anything again.
This would apply to those who die mere seconds after dropping thier bombs on a CV after diving in it with more than 20degress angle down and you never regain those degreess back towards level flight. So if you dive, drop on target, pull out and begin egressing then at least five seconds have gone by disqualifying you as a suicide bomber and by also pulling out you regained those dive angles back to the horizontal and once again wouldn't count as an ultimate dweeb suicide bomber.
To those who would intend to pull out but the ack gets you first? If the ack gets you while you're under 2k in range you couldn't have pulled out anyway. So? So Solly <bows> You paid the ultimate sacrifice and the Emporer thanks you.

Sorry, no.

If a P-38 with 10 rockets and 2k bombs ever had found an enemy carrier WITHOUT any CAP, it wouldve very likely done a dive attack and hit its target.

I dont need to remind you that ONE bomb is all you need to PORK a real carrier. It blows the deck up and that carrier becomes a floating piece of useless metal..until its repaired.

In AH you put 1 bomb on it, wont sink it..but it will still launch fighters.

To have IJN craft be the only ones to sink cv's is just plain ridiculous. You may as well start adding baka bombs to the game.

japs only did suicide dives on fleets when they were hit,and couldn't fight, so they pick the nearest US ship, and crash into it

Bendover,

Either you are trying a hand at revisionist history or you have absolutely NO CLUE about real events and history.

I suggest you get to a library and read some REAL history instead of a comic book.
