Saving Private Ryan, Braveheart and that is about it.

Oh, and favorite series, either Band of Brothers or The Pacific.
Landing is overrated.

Just a few!

The Cruel Sea
Ice Cold in Alex
Battle of Britain
Battle of the River Plate
Reach for the Sky
Angels One Five
12 O'clock High
Cockleshell Heroes
In which we serve
Sink the Bismarck
Dark Blue World
Dunkirk
Das Boot

Again, I think remakes shouldn't be made - especially BoB - there aren't the aircraft or the actors! I also like films in black and white! ;-)

Stalingrad (the German-made movie)

Das Boot
All Quiet on the Western Front
Cross of Iron, with Jaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaames Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaason

My Name is Ivan (aka Ivan's Childhood) is supposed to be very stark.

Apocalypse Now can't go unmentioned, but it ain't really about the war.
... missions were to be met by the commitment of alerted swarms of fighters, composed of Me 109's and Fw 190's, that were strategically based to protect industrial installations. The inferior capabilities of these fighters against the Mosquitoes made this a hopeless and uneconomical effort. 1.JD KTB

1969s Battle of Britain.  The most original aircraft I've seen in a WWII movie.

Enemy At The Gates

Exactly two pages out of the book of the same name.  And then they changed it up.  Could have been a great film had they actually read the book.  Instead it was awful.
