I have looked for a better picture of this 25TH B/G aircraft that I had posted in a another thread. The letter code was not legible due to the picture quality on my first post.

After playing with the picture some I beleive this aircaft at the time of this photo has no letter code painted yet on the tail.  Also it looks to have a few demarcation lines across the top of the plane indicating a few other colours as well. What is interesting is the very outside edge of the rudder looks to have a light coloured band painted on? Maybe a reflection? Since this aircraft had some art work on the nose & have not found many of the XVI's with them I thought I would repost it here.

This is interesting & I know what the answer will be how ever I thought I would throw it out here & see what the rest of you think.

Thought it would be kind of cool a Mossie with snake written down the side of it. The paint scheme at this point was right after delivery & as you can see in the next picture it was repainted at a later date. I guess the question to let snake in was when did it get changed & is it possible it flew missions in that guise? Guess we will never know.

Just noticed the dates are different for the times that these flights took place & what it looked like when. I guess one of these books are wrong.

It ended up with RAF 684 Squadron.
