Hah, .22 decapitations, and bottle rocket orbital mechanics experiments...oh how I can relate. 

Also, that removable turret on the HISS tank fits not only action figures, it also fits M80 firecrackers perfectly.  I speak from experience with 2 HISS tanks of which the largest recoverable pieces would fit inside a match box.

:rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl Wonder what TODAYS society would think about us if we we kids now :uhoh I wouldnt trade my childhood experiences for anything! Luckily I was able to hand down to my kids(and the Ex Wifes) these type of experiences! Nothing in the world like having a boy(her youngest) rapid firing my Ar-15...only pausing to yell "This is FUN!". Created a monster though...took him on his first deer hunt at my Grand Parents farm in West Virginia...AHOLE killed the biggest buck I have ever seen there in my 40 years of hunting there! Glad that he could experience that and the freedom to just take off and wander around on the farm like I did in my youth(without worry). My own son caught the biggest Bass I have seen in person,in my Great Grandfathers pond, 14 pounds! Bunch of Aholes I TELL YA!   We had it great, didnt we! :rock

Original Joe, from my 5th birthday, 4/20/65.    Broke his hand the first day seeing if he could fly.  Dad made him a hook.  took a while to find the part to replace the hand.  Adventures in the neighbor's garden that got one of my friends in a lot of trouble  for the damage to the tomato plants.  Falls from the second floor stairs at grandma's house.  Melted boots from being too close to the electric wall heater.  Ruined uniform replaced by mom's home made stuff for a time.  Cracked nose, rewired by Dad after the original elastic broke, and it goes on and on.  Put him away as a teenager and have had him ever since.  Guess that makes him 53.  A bit old for a GI :)

Doesn't look like all original gear but looks great (I mean wonderfully historically accurate from the helmet webbing to the jacket to the cravat - I do remember the belt pants and shoes (though those seem to be the brown shoes from my GI JOE pilot) . Good story that comes with him. I owned around a dozen Joes. No survivors, sadly. Capsule, jeep and trailer, airmen with parachutes, sailors, soldiers, deep sea divers. Being an only child with only one other grandchild to compete with (a girl) and of comfortable middle-class status (as well as being a military brat) were the likely elements of my boon and may have also contributed to my not having been as responsible a commanding officer of my forces. I envy you. Buying others off of EBAY wouldn't be the same.
