The F35 project needs to be canceled in favor of producing more Spits.
Heck, for the kind of money dumped on the F35 white elephant, the entire AH planes roster can be brought back. In squadron strength.
Mosquito VI - twice the spitfire, four times the ENY.

Getting to work on the F-35, I get to see some pretty cool things. This past weekend we had a Battle of Britain get together, and we got a Spit mk XIV to come out and play with one of the F-35's. Pilot put on a great show, and everyone enjoyed seeing this classic warbird next to the F-35. The F-35 is AF-6.

Thank you Beu and everyone there at Edwards for inviting her out there a couple weeks ago, I was too busy these past days with our Oktoberfest (and doing our ride program with our mustang) at our hangar that I didn't see this post earlier.  Mind if I share your pics?

Especialy thankful you all took real good care of our plane and my favorite pilot (Ken said he had a great time, right as he dropped the Spit off in Camarillo and raced back up to Reno, before comming back and sneaking away just this past weekend to get married, so I'll probabley hear the details later).

Hope to see you (an those purty F-35s) someday soon!  :salute

Notice that the F-35 wasn't flying. Still.  But the 60 year ole spittie was as nimble as they day they made her.

Go figure. :D

Lol, true.  But I wonder what the cost difference is in actually putting them in the air.  F-35 is probably expensive as hell to fly, right?

The difference is a good question, but don't get the idea that the spit is a cheap date!

We'll just make it a nice round $400 per hour before adding insurance, maintenance, hangar and many other costs, and not to forget adding at least another $50-$75 in fuel per takeoff... carry the two and divide it by three...  please, send us money.   :pray   :D  http://www.cafsocal.com
