Reading materials?
« on: December 10, 2013, 11:36:12 AM »
Hi there,

I used to play a few years back, and plan on returning after xmas.  Just got a new Laptop and am waiting for funds to get a decent joystick set.  I wasn't ever any good last time, but this time I'd like to study up on BFM, ACM, and other pertinent info; in hopes of being a decent pilot.  I'm hoping someone can suggest some easy to understand reading material or instructional videos?

Also, I'm planning to focus on the Fw190, so any hints or tips with that plane set would be welcome as well.

Thanks, and <S>

*Edit*  I have done some searching around on the boards and found a few things, but any further help would definitely be appreciated.

Shaw's book is the best of the bunch, in my opinion.

A damned fine actor as well as a symphony conductor.

This is him when he fought in the Civil War:

Of course, this is the Robert Shaw that's the author of that fine book:

Flew AW and spoke at cons, as well.  :D

You forgot the playwright. There's a festival in Canada named after him. That guy could do everything!
