Having that headwind and the forward motion of the ship - it looked like an almost vertical landing, hilarious. I wonder how fast that ship was going, 15 or 20kts maybe? This made me think of the old rocket assisted Hurricanes on those converted cargo ships that had the single launch rail system/thingamajig set up. Too bad they never had ships like these in WW2 with a little longer deck or a capture net - beats ditching in rough seas and hoping for the best, and a 50/50 chance of a ship in the fleet being able to pick you up after you shot down the Condor pestering your ships.
