Wipeout

Ohno had this race won! Have to admire the way he handled it though. No complaints. No whines. Just took his silver medal with a smile and stated that he is "just happy to be here."

Yup, he's an upstanding American citizen.  Not a sniveling little whiner from up north.  He got less than he deserved, but was proud just to have competed.

FYI,

It was my understanding that the actual competitors from Canada behaved themselves in just as gracious a maner. It was the observers that raised the stink, (not that the stink was unwarranted).

To be honest, I don't really care one way or the other about the olympics.  I haven't watched any of it, and probably won't.  However, I feel I must withdraw my attempted flame bait, as I read the other olympic thread and found that my opinion is in line with Boroda.  And that is something I simply cannot allow, as one of my criteria for determining my sanity is "do you agree with anything Boroda posts?".  If the anser is yes, I automatically fail.

Again, my apologies.  :D

Just to clarify, my "refreshing" comment wasn't a reference to the Canadians. I was glad to see them get some kind of justice.
