No, there won't be icons displayed in the clouds.

I hope the cloud display code is hack-proof.  If somebody manages to disable clouds on his FE...

P.S. Do I get a radar on my Bf110?

[tongue-in-cheek]

If the clouds are volumetric, wouldn't we have icons that faded in-and-out?

Clouds.  Somewhere to run into people you don't see.

Cool, guys.  Very cool!

Ya I bet it'll get yer heart started when you saunter off into that cloud being all sneaky and then see that B17 appear out of the mist at your 12 o'clock nose on.

Is it safe to assume the clouds will be moving?

If so, arriving at the target with a greyed-out norden may entail more use of the carpetbomb technique

Now this sounds GREAT!! My only red flag is this:

I sure hope the otto code is masked by clouds as the players will be. I heard in "Brand W", the sun (that other major vision impedement) doesn't effect otto the way it does the live players. Now *that* sucks.

It sure would be nice for the clouds to move and change shape, but that's *really* gravy. Give us good-looking ones that stay static until the pattern changes, and we'll STILL be ecstatic!!!!!

I am hoping there is a certain level of transparency for short distances in the clouds, just like in real life. If I am flying in close, close formation with my fellow fighter, I should still be able to see him in a cloud. Maybe this is too much to hope for initially, but I'd like to see it eventually. The concept would promote top-notch formation skills.
