In my perfect AH world, I would be able to c my teammates name AND his plane type at the same time. Could this option be included in the toggle selection?

I am constantly rolling thru the icon toggle for SA purposes. It is a pain in the butt, and eats up all my text display space. Can you feel my pain?

Scroll through when you need to.

The only thing I hate is when I accidentally leave it on 'friendly only' icon setting.

I can recall a few times that I watched as a plane got closer, thinking 'I should get an Icon on that guy any second' only to realize later that he was closing fast and I had enemy icons off.

Man I hate that.

Hey, HT... how about a small flashing indicator to remind the pilot if he left the icons set to 'friendly only'

Like the original poster, I find myself needing to scroll through almost continuosly.

You sounded pretty definate with your 'No', any particular reason? WB has this, and it's quite convenient.

I'm not suggesting replacing the options we have now, but adding 1 more.

Add a menu with checkboxes to setup which icon setting modes you want to be able to switch to.

Or maybe add individual buttons for different icon settings (i=full icons, friendly with names ; alt-i = full icons, friendly ID ; ctrl-i = ...)

Maybe it can be forced to that setting in e.g. a scenario? But OTOH that would probably be enemyiconrange=0, doesn't it?

I also find the current icon setup bothersome. It's AH version of the multiple maps in Warburds (you have to page thru multiple versions of the arena map).

For AH icons I ended up setting up a button on throttle for it.
