Loser I love that
Bet it would work with a KI67 as well as an enemy usual saddles up for a nice easy 6 shot on a goon - hehe - cruise up and look down 20mm barrels
I've found goon survival depends on one thing - not being seen - so I'll fly a sector or more further to come from and airfield / direction that nobody is looking for. Use the terrain to hide your dot and be prepared to land out to hide if it gets too busy where you're going. Try to look for valleys which lead to the target. If the drop point is on a hill top approach from below hill top level and pop up to land - the zoom up a hill side can get rid of speed nicely ready to land.
I prefer to land troops wherever I can - it's quicker and you can sometimes sneak in low where a high approach would get you spotted by defenders away from the town. Cruise in level at full power then at the right distance chop power and get the gear and full flaps down asap - the distance is a practice thing but a goon slows down REAL quick when you get its dangly bits out. Also with full flaps its lands at abou 70mph which means a short ground run. If a town is surrounded by trees then land on the supply road and taxy in.
If you've landed close to a town but its not quite down turn off your engines while you wait - its amazing how much people rely on engine noise to alert them to other planes.
Just things that I've found help me.
