I wasnt trying to ride the Raider's funked. Aside from the Eagles, they are my favorate team. I just checked out nfl.com and was suprised to see that they had lost to the Rams of all teams. Yea they are 4-1, but out of those teams, I would least expect them to lose to the Rams :)
Creamo- The Rams have a few other injuries too on their O line dont they? I thought they did, anyhow, yea they lost 1 star, but it was their quarterback, who uh, is generaly a fairly central figure in football. No I dont think I would have been able to win the game as the Rams QB. Yes I was suprised that they beat the unbeaten raiders. What had Faulk done up to this point, THIS season?

Newguy, I was just responding to Creamo, don't sweat it.

Basically what happened is that the real Rams (the ones who have won the NFC 2 of the last 3 years) are back in the house.  The rookie QB made some good throws when he got protection, and he didn't make any major mistakes.  The Rams running game and defense were up to the standards of 1999-2001.

As far as the Raiders, they sucked in every possible aspect of the game.  A ton of penalties, on offense, special teams, and defense.  Gannon made 3 turnovers.  Offensive line is banged up and they showed it.  The pass protection fell apart at key moments.  Garner had nice yards per carry but the running game failed repeatedly in short yardage.  The receivers dropped several key passes, most notably an easy TD for Tim Brown and a first down for Roland Williams.  The defensive backfield continued to struggle without Charles Woodson in there, getting toasted repeatedly by Holt and Bruce.  And I can't remember the last time the Raiders got a sack (or even significant pressure) from one of their defensive ends.  It didn't help that they were playing on the road on fake grass and that the refs called an incomplete pass to Holt a TD (he only got one foot down inbounds).

Bingo, Funked...

The Raiders have been squeaking by. The defense really needs to step up.

I dont know if that theory holds water this year. It looks like the numbers are pretty close up to this point in the season.

Farve

Gannon

Farve has more talent surrounding him this year than hes had since 96 or 97. If his receivers can stay healthy look for another MVP type season.

Jeff I was comparing them over the time period 1999 to present.
I'm not any kind of Favre hater.  He's as good as anybody I've seen since Young and Montana.

I've also heard that it's possible for two great quarterbacks to coexist in the same league during the same season.

Work on it? lol, now that's better.

The "Just Win Baby!" followed by a Beetle type 4 page Raider game report, followed by "Superstar" claims on that old man Gannon were hinting you had your pants down in front of a Raider team calander and it was getting a bit much.

I was just goofing about the game. I hate to see blow outs as much as the next guy, and ended up switching to the other games. It was like watching a high school scrimmage against the 49er's.

There.
