Vox Problem that has me baffled?!?!?!
« on: December 21, 2002, 11:34:07 PM »
there is a new player to AH ... CIPD snyprjoe

i spent about 1/2 hour tonight trying to get his vox working tonight to no avail :(

we tried all i know ...
"wave in" both on and off
turned down hardware accelleration
checked mic settings in windows
20db boost

all of it ... he said he uses other VOX programs for other games and they work fine.

every now and then he will come in clear but mostly it is just garbled sounds.

i have attached a flim of what it sounds like. we were in the tower @ P34 on Mindanao

he is going to reply to this message with his system specs.

any help is greatly appreciated <>
I don't know what to put here yet.

I also have the soundblaster 128 sound card.
I works perfectly elsewhere and in windows, but here the vox does not work at all.
When I depress the transmit key or the range key.
Listeners can detect my range beep.. but not my voice.
I need help, as I too have done everything to fix this problem.
HElp help..

try mapping through the preferred device.  it's in the multimedia option in the control panel.  If it's not checked check it.
Might also want to check the recording tab under volume controls.
