The 205 is a Ferrari.  Its fast enough, handles well enough, but the guns are pitiful.  I can't hit a thing with them.  Visibility is marginal, too.  I guess the Macchi designers took their saying about Italian racing to heart:  "What's behind you is not important."

For me, the Yaks are more aerobatic and can pull off some great turns and spirals.  I fear nothing in them except a higher N1K2 or Spitfire Mk. V.

I don't know about the Yak-9T, but I flew the Yak-9U last night in the CT.  It's even more amazing than I remember from the last time I flew it, easily capable of handling anything the Luftwaffe could throw at it (all forms of 109 and the 190A5).

Now I know why no-skill dweebs like Sikboy like to fly them.  :)

Guns are no worse than any of the LW planes.  Same cannon, MG151/20's with 250rpg.  12.7mm MG's should be better than AH LW MG's if they have the HE/I shells modelled - not sure how trajectory compares though.  Probably a bit worse (lighter bullet).  Armament overall lines up pretty well with the Dora or light A8 in terms of power and ammo quantity.

It's the 205's visability that is the dealbreaker for me.  You can't even see what's in front of your plane through those huge windshield frames.

Well, I imagine you've killed almost each plane in almost each other plane. But that's neither here nor there :)

I was just wondering why I should trust Simshell lol

Yep.  The narrow framing of the forward glass on the 205 makes snapshots extremely difficult to judge.  By comparison, 109 has heavy framing at the top of the forward glass, but the sides are ok.

Plus, the 205 is smurfy.
