Rearm Idea
« on: March 06, 2004, 11:41:38 PM »
Ok I have been wanting this option for a long time in Aces High and think its a good idea. Let me know what you guys think...

When you take off with a plane, say a P51... Loaded up with 50% fuel 2x1000lb bombs and 6 rockets. You are stuck with that load out no matter what unless you get a new plane and new load out.

What if we had a system of dot comands for instance that we could chose to use on the hotpad. The options would only be limited the the fields strat. So if the field had 75% fuel, that is all you would be able to load.

If you take off with 50% and the full buffet of ord, once you land at your base, you could have the option of hot padding and chosing another load out with out ending flight.:)

Just a thought. I think it would make for a more realistic game play and a very handy feature at that.

Ok thats all

Agree with that idea. We should be able to change the ordenance and fuel load, and the rearming should be limited by the field resources.

But then again, why not return to tower and reload?

Aside of other points, the most important one is that your hangars may be down at that base.

Would the rearm time be different?

Why should you have to?

Why log another flight or get a new plane when the one your in at the moment is fine but you'd rather take a different load out?

Well that would be up to HTC ofcourse. But I think it would make sence if it took 60 seconds to reload your plane with different load out rather than the 30 seconds we have now for just the standard rearm.

Some events run 1 life unlimited rearms. Unfortunately a despawn counts as 1 life (and respawning is usually locked down).
