I KNEW it.

I sat back and waited before I bothered to d/l it presuming it was a joke of some sort.

Too many Barbi spits etc eskimo...I just couldn't take this seriously.

 :p ;)
Some will fall in love with life and drink it from a fountain that is pouring like an avalanche coming down the mountain

If you like a good laugh you need to download and install this sound pack.  Most of the sounds come from classic cartoon sound effects, Star Wars and farm animals; not to mention a few rude bodily function sounds that are dubbed for the explosions.  I only replaced the original 78 default sounds, so it’s a small download (3.1 MB).  It’s actually a bit smaller than the AH default sounds.  I know that my old POS machine actually has a sound lag with Mitsu’s sounds; as great as they are, I think they might be a bit much for old puters.

If you have broadband you should be able to download and install it in about 3 minutes. If you want to switch back to the original sounds, you can do so in less than a minute. Try it, at least offline. I promise that it will be worth your time. Make sure that you try a jet and a ME-163, fire some rockets and switch the country ownership of your offline field to an enemy as you take off, so that you can take some hits. Do a high speed gear up landing and kill some buildings while you’re at it. Try the guns on different planes too.  The tank main guns are my favorites. Be sure to try the 37mm in the M-8 and the bigger gun in a tiger.

Any guess as to the type of insect recorded for the motor sound?

its my star wars sound pack. the "SW" sound pack

I also didnt know your sound pack was out there, I dl'd it and it rocks!  The only edge I'd give to Waffle's is that his engine start sounds segue into the engine run sound much more smoothly than anybody else's.  Not a put-down of yours or anyone else's, as yours are what I have installed right now and probably will for awhile.  Just my observation.

I'll put Eskimo's sounds back in when I want a good laugh.  That Taz sound for the engine start is classic.

hmm... I don't really know.

It sounds like a fruit fly or something, or maybe a skeeter. :D

Good job!  It is a fly.

Any idea where the GV motor sound came from?
