Exactly. This is where I screwed the pooch for my unit. It was a poor plan on my part, and an even poorer execution.

As a clarification, my comment on the "plan" was strictly limited to MY plan, and no one else's. I knew better, but allowed distractions to interfere.

Awww Doobs, I was just thinking you had gotten your butt kicked so often you kinda liked it, so I was just being Happy for You :D

Actually, I was hoping that the frame would be a massive Allied victory to drive both sides to a bloodbath on frame 3 for a tie breaker.

Nothing clever here.  Please, move along.

It would seem many of the frames where attacks on either side are planned to happen almost instantaneously end in carnage.

In these short events where everyone knows what the targets are, that they have to be attacked within an hour and what fields are to be used its fairly easy to defend a narrow corridor leading directly to the nearest enemy field. More often than not that's where the attack comes in from. I always try to use everything available to me when I plan and if that means I have 2 whole hours(or the one hour to hit a target) I use em. I figure I put aside that time to be there anyway, might as well make the most use of it.

Pohtayto, pohtahto tho. Some guys just get bored with all that misdirection "just flyin around" stuff. I like it myself. Adds to the suspense/strategy flavor of the event that sets it aside from the MA where there's not much of either most of the time.
