"dusk patrol"

One last set of hog clips....

I'd actually cleaned up my film folder and wasnt planning on recording anything else. After upping I was engaged by a higher inbound 190 A5 and hit the "record" button out of habit. The ensuing fight was actually a pretty good little chess match. I dont recall ever running into the pilot in question but it clear he's working hard to learn good E fighting technique. You can see at least three adjustments (that I could count) on his opening bounce alone. Simply an uphill battle I hope he sticks with....the road to any level of E fighting proficiency is littered with plane parts.....

I climbed out and encountered an outbound -4 hog. This is one of my typical attack profiles...

3rd clip fight is with a spit16, I make a few strange choices basically just having fun and testing the hogs limits vs the 16....

4th clip is kills 4 thru 6. Basically E fighting vs a pony, mid game transition to a 190....back to finish the pony and then defending vs the pilot from clip #1 (now in a pony).

All in all a good primer on various things covered elsewhere. Kind of shows how basic skills and sets of moves repeat.

 Final exam

I hope these clips help those who view them to gain a "mental picture" of dogfighting. An awful lot of people spent considerable time and effort in futile attempts to teach this old dog enough "tricks" to survive if not prosper. As a result i've enjoyed years of fun flying this and other earlier sims. Hopefully in some small way these have helped "complete the circle"....
