Britain more stringent on immigration than US?

We are jumping on the bandwagon too:

Quote
Speaking at the launch, the Minister for Integration, Conor Lenihan, gave a strong indication that proficiency in English will be required for gaining Irish residency or citizenship in the future.

Hell I say go all the way and make them be proficient in the Irish language as well:lol  Well maybe not. I might get deported as I can't even speak my own native language.:o

To be fair most immigrants make a serious effort to learn English without being compelled to. Quite a few have even learned Irish. There is nothing more embarrassing than meeting a foreigner who can speak your native language and you can't.

What's even worse is when your wife and her family can all speak fluent Irish so they can talk about you in your presence:huh

OUCH...that's gonna leave a mark.

But lazs...if this article is true then surely this is something the "euros" (in this case Great Britain) is doing something better than the US.  I've seen you comment recently that everything the US does is better.

Weird.

Officially, its French. But really its English. We just try not to upset the Froggies by rubbing in just how insignificant they really are.

curval... I don't think I have ever said that everything the US does is better than in your-0-up....  Most important things tho.  certainly enough that I would 100 times rather live here.   Socialism and losing the right to self defense are pretty big elephants in the room to ignore and pretend you are free.

I freely admit, and have stated numerous times, that your-up is much more bigoted than the US could ever hope to be... much less diverse... with nothing more than essentially... a few different flavors of white guys and even then... hating each other.

In effect... I don't really care about illegals that much... there is a simple solution of just jailing the employer but... the dumber the work force the better it is for the smart worker... get rid of all borders and all immigration laws or enforce the ones we have.

I would go for no borders if we didn't have welfare... what do I care if a person works for cheap or someone hires him.... so long as I don't have to pay for his health or kids or pay him when he doesn't work.

"Yep... so why would we want to be like the your-0-peeans in anything? everything they do is worse."
