Operation Strangle Frame 1 Results
« on: October 06, 2007, 01:42:30 PM »
Ladies and Gentlemen ~S~
Here are the result for Frame 1 of Operation Strangle

Axis Total Points - 2565
Allied Total Points - 2155

Axis Wins by 410 points

Allied Planes Destroyed by the Axis:
Single Engine Planes - 44
Twin Engine Planes - 36
Total Planes - 80

Axis Planes Destroyed by the Allies:
Single Engine Planes - 82
Twin Engine Planes - 21
Total Planes - 103

Looking at the results...
It appears the Axis were much more effective destroying the carrier group and hitting the towns at the bases. Every building in the town was worth 5 points and these add up very quickly.

Also the cruiser was worth 50 points, and each destroyer was worth 20. Had the Allies continued their assault on the axis carrier group, they could have gained another 130 points, not counting the 5 points gained for each gun.

Nice work everyone... I hope you had a good time :aok

There was some serious funky stuff going on in this FSO...  The logs show shootdowns of squad member (TeeeRex) by another squad member (LuckyI3)when no such thing happened, Teeerex landed all his bombers.  Also a lot of VERY weird warping.  The logs don't seem to show that anyone took off?

I also heard the Allies had a problem with the B-25s.

It was still fun though!

The B-25s had a nasty bug.  Every time someone upped a formation of them they crashed to desktop.  I saw in the text buffer that someone mentioned Pyro's name and that it would be fixed by next week.

Cross your fingers!

Yes there was a bug with the b25 which would crash them to the desktop. Pyro was notified and they'll be working on it before next week. :aok

Same problem, in the logs it shows where 1 of my guys shot down another.

Strange thing is, that the one shot down was behind as trailer to the one that shot him down.  After rechecking, no guns were even fired.  He just lost a wing for some reason and down he went.

Logs show that AKQuick got an assist on AKLoWbut at 23:01. Since the logs are in central time, that would be T+67 or 68. I set the clocks a few minute further than I usually do. This may have been when you guys were unloading bombs. You indicated the squaddie who got eh assist was above and in front of the victim. That could be a bomb hit. They don't explode up there due to armed status. The logs also indicate fighters in the area. This may have been a stray round from a gunner. I would go with the first possibility though.

Just a thought.

Apparently, one in five people in the world are Chinese. And there are five people in my family, so it must be one of them. It's either my mum or my dad. Or my older brother, Colin. Or my younger brother, Ho-Chan-Chu. But I think it's Colin. - Tim Vine.
