Most any system will run Beta (check AH min system requirements) Running Beta with all the bells and whistles turned on is a different story. Beta with all the bells and whistles on would be a box in the 800 to 1300 range depending on DDR2 or DDR3, How big a PSU and a GTX9800+ (mininum I would use)
Mine runs the Beta almost perfectly 605$ with everything on and x8 AA. That includes: Case, Motherboard, CPU, GPU, RAM, PSU, DVD, Soundcard. Currently I use the 605$ pricetag due to upgrading my current Motherboard/CPU soon, but for the Beta the current parts run fine. I admit 800$ would run better (I get some slight FR drops), but for 600$ I am fine with it.
Can only imagine how nice your systems run if this cheaper box runs this well!
