f4u, 109, f6f are really good planes, I kill lots of them in my spit8.  Best lane for you depends on how you want to play.  If you like furballs then spits are a good place to start then try 109 or p38.  If you want to hit and run then try any of the pee planes (p51..), fw190's etc.  But if you are new try the spit9 or zeke till u learn to fly and turn a bit.

you dont want me to ho, dont point your plane at me.

the 3 planes I recommend a new player to start with would be the A6M,spit V and hurricane.Al 3 are relatively easy to fly and therefor lend themselves to learning ACM,gunnery and SA.Once a player id comfortable in these planes I suggest they move to a 109,I prefer the F4 to start but any 109 will do.

The reason I suggest the move to the 109 is simple,109's have every bad habit there is,you cant see well out of them, they stall easy, they suffer from control stiffening at high speed and they require throttle control to fly effectively.

Once you can fly a 109,INHO all the others seem somewhat easy to fly.

 of course YMMV.
