Wow. You gotta look at it from their point of view as well, though. I had a buddy with MS who was pulled over and given the same treatment. After he was put face down on the hood of the car and handcuffed he filed a lawsuit and won. The money didn't mean much, but it did help his family out in the last few years of his life.
Just learned this morning that my neighbor and best bud has congestive heart failure...and he's younger than me.
This week has been one to forget.

If someone is unresponsive and windows have to be broken, there may be more of an issue than intoxication and an ambulance should be called immediately. If an individual is so grossly intoxicated that they are unresponsive, the smell of alcohol should be quite evident once windows are broken.
It is a sad situation that could have been avoided.
