Horizontal line on screen
« on: December 28, 2011, 01:57:04 AM »
I just recently started playing aces high with a 3 monitor setup at a resolution of 5760 x1080.  I noticed that at this resolution there is a horizontal line that runs across all of the screens.  Any fast movement cause the halves of the screen above and below the line to look like two pictures that are not perfect aligned.  I tried turning off v-sync and it seemed to make it a little better but it did not completely remedy the problem.   I'm running the game with a max texture size of 2048 and anti aliasing set to max.

system specs:
amd phenom 2 black edition 955 quad core 3.2ghz @ 3.7ghz
XFX 6870 1gb 900mhz clock @ 935mhz, 1050mhz memory @ 1185mhz
8gb of Gskill 1600mhz
Asus M4A88T-V EVO/USB3 MB
1 TB hard drive
x1 Hannspree 23" lcd 1080p (center monitor)
750w antec PSU
x2 HP 23" lcd 1080p (side monitors)

Are you trying to run all 3 monitors off one video card?? What type of settings are you using in-game? The problem you might be choking up at the video card. Try turning your video settings down to 512 and start upping a little at a time from there.

Try turning down the AA setting. You want v-sync on. 1 GB is not a lot of video memory for that resolution. Anything that reduces the video memory used should help.

yeah i have all 3 monitors running off of the one graphics card.  I didn't realize that the higher resolution took such a toll on the video memory.  And i'm currently running the game with all the settings at max.  I'll try dialing down the settings and seeing if that fixes it.  Thanks for the help.
