Greetings Gents...Is it worth coming back?
« on: June 20, 2001, 12:06:00 AM »
Hiya,

I've been gone from Aces High for just over a year now.  I flew in the beta and for several months after beta.  I am now looking to jump back into another flight sim, and I was just wondering how much AH has improved since I was last here.  I read something about trains ect?  How are the flying models now and did they ever get that darn cloud slow down bug fixed?  Hehe.  Just fishing for some details on how far AH has come, and how it stacks up to warbirds now (which I've never flown).  Thanks for the replies and insight.

Hi Jase,

The standard reply is "download and try it for yourself."  :) It's still free and quite a small download considering what it does and what you get. Only you can decide if it's worth it to you. I don't think you will be disappointed tho.

Oh ya...welcome back.  :)

Yes it is well worth coming back!  Jump in, it's more fun than it's ever been!  Of course, only you can try for yourself to find out.  However, IMO and many otheres, it is still the best multiplayer flight sim out to date.   :)

Is it worth it? Hey, my answer would be baised as I think it's even more so than it was before. But you get two free weeks to decide right?   :)

Questionable.
Its not worth 30 dollars US.
But its the only game in town from what I can see.

If it means You coming back and Killing me all the time like usual, then NO.
  ;)

Seriously though,it sure would be great to have a pilot of your  class and caliber  return.

The game is quite a bit different then when you left.  Virtually every aspect of it has changed.

You might as well try it out again since you are the only one that can decide if its worth it or not.

Wow guys, thanks for the kind replies.  I re-downloaded the sim and am going to start that long and arduous process of hooking back up my pedal/stick/throttle and getting them all re-keymapped (oh the pain).  I'm glad Aces High has continued to thrive against more established competition in this market.  It says two things to me....Great community and great developer.  I look forward to flying with and against you in the near future.  Just go easy on the newbie will ya?   ;)

btw, thanks for asking about the clinic, it is going very well   :)
