Windows 11 and Program Switch During AH Game Play

Have any of you encountered a problem when playing Aces High the program will switch to something on the desktop.  I'm using the Oculus 2 VR with the "direct cable".  It's like my wife walks in and hits "alt + tab" while I'm playing the game and usually while I'm pointed at the ground.  In the headset, I get an hour glass and the game freezes.  I take off the headset and hit "alt + tab" to put focus back on the game to recover.

I suspect there is a new Windows setting I need to disable.

Check the Notifications for a hint and disable the Notifications of most apps and programs. The one I like to have is for Autoplay. It's possible that you got a notification about Store having updated your Solitaire game or something equally important.

The worst scenario with Notifications is that on Edge or Chrome you get a cookie from an ad while accepting all cookies on some site. That acceptation may include allowing the said cookie to post notifications. So Edge or Chrome will then be automatically added and enabled on the Notifications list and every time there's a new ad you'll get a notification from the browser, including images. The wife usually doesn't like the right side of the screen being filled with boobs and casino ads, not to mention the scary "Your Norton/McAfee has expired and you're vulnerable! Click here NOW!"

That was easy enough.  I just turned off notifications.  I guess if I get something important it will just have to fester.  Aces High is my priority and not crashing into the ground!!!!

YES THIS...Win11. Number of 5 times to 1, I used VOX..POOF. too DESKTOP!  I had an update Yesterday..ZERO KICK to Desktop   Almost like the Running Theory, "You are gonna Black Out on Final, seems its programed that way   "Like my wife walks in and hits"Alt + Tab?  Beats ALT-F4 As far as I can remember..its been a Conflict with Nvidia Sound Drivers? If not mistaken..these 'Kick To Desk Top' events, show up in an error log?  Eh, is what it is!  VR, STILL HANDS DONE, closest I will ever get to Real Thing.

Affecting Slipknt ? IYKYK (he got before thee)   While he didnt get Quest2..he did get Rift2, same as me. This latest Driver/Windows Update solved some issues I was having. Seems it was a VOX issue? 1 out of 5 times I used VOX...TO THE DESKTOP! Post NVidia update=ZERO KICKS

Maybe invidia update is the answer.

I turned off notifications and upgraded the Nvidia driver and I experienced no desktop dumps during FSO.  Thanks for the suggestions!!!!

I had the same problem.

I think it was caused by nvidia driver. After update the problem has disappeared.
