No fuel at HQ area field means no fuel for Komets to get to HQ attack bomber raid.

Leave fuel up, send bombers in, bombers are swarmed by Komets. No more bombers.

In other words, used to be a lone bomber pilot or two could grab to 35k, and then head on over to the enemys HQ and knock out that teams radar for a couple of hours. At 35k, bombers are pretty hard to kill with a prop fighter.

Then the Komet appeared. It has no difficulty reaching 35k in less than 3 minutes and it's exceptional speed and immense cannon firepower just shred 35k bombers. It's operational weakness is it takes almost all of a full tank of fuel to get up there, and it's only based at the field adjacent to the HQ.

So.. the bomber pilots are whining because there's now a defensive system in place that makes it harder for 2 guys to screw with the gameplay of 200 others. Now it takes teamwork and planning to disrupt the gameplay of 200 others. They find the inability to milkrun at high alt where the prop fighters are at a disadvantage 'unfair'.

War is hell. ;)
The price of Freedom is the willingness to do sudden battle, anywhere, any time and with utter recklessness...

...at home, or abroad.

Really.

It's pretty silly to be whining that your small group of you and your buddies can't pork a couple of hundred players good time cuz you have a little opposition for a change.

Come down in the weeds and I'll slap you silly..

Uh..nevermind, you don't go there..

I think me163's blowup nicely.

I was a dweeb milkrunning on a HQ a few times.  In one sortie I shot down 4 me163's and 2 prop planes i think one was a 109 .  I was at 35000ft.  Almost made it home with my lone buff since the other two didn't survive the attack.   I did hit my objective.   I was killed by a p47 as i was closing in on my base.  I didn't have any more bullets left in tail gun and bottom turret was out also.   All i could do is try to evade but to no avail even with someone trying to cover me i died.

Its fun being a milkrunning dweeb sometimes

whoever thought of bringing the 163 to AH for HQ defense sure was a smart guy.
