I watched part one and darn near shut it off during the first half hour. Once we got past that it got much better. I'll be taping the second half and watch it later, it's on too late for us working folks....
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

I watched the first one last night and will be watching the rerun tonite when I get off work.  I thaught the first one was pretty good and above expectations.  Some of the fighter sequences really brought into play some of the physics of future space fighting....

That's right, I had my bad sci-fi confused.  At least I didn't mix it up with Space 1999.

So far both of these episodes have been better than SW Epi 1 & 2 COMBINED.  The amount of thought that went into this remake is staggering.  The plot twist at the end of pt. 2 really threw me.  I am glad that you guys are more accepting of Starbuck as a female in the remake.  I ask you this, who is a bigger girl?  The new Starbuck or the originial Luke Skywalker?"

I've had to tape the last 2 nights' episodes due to volleyball practice commitments and cable tv outages.  I'm taping tonight's episode as well, but did manage to catch snippets of Pt.2 when Sci-Fi aired the encore.  What I saw looked a lot more edgier than the mainstream ABC Family Television stuff of the '70s.  The airops lingo sounds like it was lifted right off the transcripts of an aircraft carrier.  Nice touch.  I like the thruster stabilizers in the nose of the Viper, too.  The twist at the end of Pt.2 is certainly different.

I really hope they release it on DVD so I can watch the whole thing without commercial interruption.  Looks like a pretty good storyline they're setting up.  Now I just have to find the time to go back and watch Eps 1, 2, and 3 before Ep4 comes on! :p

Well besides the bombardment of Expedia ads, I enjoyed the 2nd show as well.  Quite the twist at the end.

I was reading thru that awful thing SciFi calls a BBS and I'm not alone in hating the intense advertising lol

If this is a pilot, its quite good...I hope they opt to develop this some more.

Pt3 is definitely tonight at 7pm Eastern.  Pt.4 is probably tomorrow.  At this rate, I'm running out of videotapes.

Really hate to kick ya in the teeth but I /think/ they only made the two episodes. There's not a part three or four to my knowledge.

That's actually a relief for me.  I don't think I can handle 6+ hours of Sci-Fi in one week.  The ending certainly set up a sequel ala "Horatio Hornblower", or a series ala "Star Trek: Deep Space 9".

ok whats with the note at the end ...
"theres only 12 type of cylons"

does this mean theres only 12 human cylons ?

or does it mean there are 12 models of human cylons ?

or is the only 12 types of cylons all together ?

twelve models of human cylons with multiple copies.  At the end  the cylons break into the hold where the Galacticians left the acused cylon and you saw multiples of the same model.  I noticed there were at least four of the hot chick cylons.
