No problem Skuzzy. Well almost no problem. I can't tell for sure that there is no AA or AF. If I set to max performance these settings say application preference. If I go custom the lowest I can choose for both is 2X.

Anyhow, I set to max performance for both 1024X768 and 1600X1200

1024X768

1600X1200

Interesting numbers..

At 16 or 32 BIT it's pretty close. I use 1024X768 all the time, so here it goes!

System is:

Asus A7N8X Dlx rev 1.04
Athlon 2500+ (Barton core) O/C'd to 2.2 GIG
BIOS hacked Radeon 9700 PRO/ 128 MEG
2XGeil 256 MEG RAM in dual mode
DX9A, Win 2K Pro, Omega 2.4.96C Drivers

Results were:

accross the board at 16 or 32 BIT:

FR's in the tower, no map up 78-80
Triangle count, at all settings 3651
Vid mem used: 29-42 MEGS

playing with the in game sliders I was able to get much better results.. but that wasn't this test.

Changing AA and AF for Direct3D in Windows (tried both Direct3D and OpenGL) doesn't affect my results.

1024x768 32bit unlimited fps
Frame rate 59. Triangle count 3652. It sometimes jumped up to 3590 for a second then back down without me doing anything.

System:
P4 2.4Ghz 533mhz 512Mb RDRAM.
Radeon 9700 128Mb (non pro).
Cataclyst 3.10 drivers.
Direct X9b.

CPU TYPE/SPEED:  P4 2.0Ghz 256mb DDR SDRAM
VIDEO CARD:  ATI Radeon 9800 XT with 256 MB on it
Direct X version: 9.0 (4.09.0000.0900)

Following tests run with Card settings of:
AA: 2x
AF: 2x
All settings for High performance
VSYNCH always on

1)  1024x768
      Video Mem 264.6  Used 32.4
      Frame Rate: 44
      Triangle cnt: 3652

2)  1280x1024
      Video Mem 262.5  Used 38.9
      Frame Rate:  42
      Triangle cnt:  4467

3)  1600x1200
      Video Mem 260.0  Used 46.7
      Frame Rate: 38
      Triangle cnt:  5245

I ran additional tests with the AA set to 6x and the AF set to 16x...the exact same results were observed as above on each of the tests!

In addition AGP is 4x in bios and aperature(?) is 256.

I hope this helps.....this is an off the shelf Dell Dimension 4400 with the exception of the video card.

Regards...let me know if you need anything else Skuzzy!  Happy to help!:aok

CPU Type/Speed:  P4 1.7GHz

Video Card Make/Model/Ram:  ATI Radeon 9600 Pro 128MB

In-game video resolution:  1024x768x32

Frame Rate:  34 in tower, clipboard down, no changes made from defaults.

Triangle Count:  3651-3652

Other video settings:  AGP 4x, AA 2x, AF 2x.  I'm assuming the AA and AF are 2x because on the ATI control panel for them, they're shown in that position but are grayed out.  They're grayed because of a checkbox that says "Application Preference".
