Map is loaded and after loosing my table via a power outtage from the storms here...well lets just say that two hours of typing and clicking by hand SUCK and the hay is in the barn. Now for what I know was a bit off with the start.

Two things:

The MOTD is being redone now to show countries. DONE!

Also the perks are going to be changed tomorrow to be 10 for the 262 as I requested. They were set at 15 incorrectly and I may have been at fault on that one but it will be changed as soon as Skuzzy gets in the office I hope. DONE!

Perks enabled since I had ticked off the wrong setting in the table setup.   DONE!

Last but not least. If anyone has any bugs or constructive comments about this setup let me know directly. My email is available via my profile and I appreciate the input.

All I ask is that you guys try it out and see how it plays.

The little taste of it we got tonight was great!

This is gonna be a fun setup, I know you think it's odd, or wrong, but give it a try!

I surprised myself tonight... the jets are really a non-issue, other than keeping an eye on them so ya don't get bounced. Axis was flying a LOT of them... the 4hog and spit14 did a good job of balancing them. I even had a nice long fight with Maggie in his rocket... he won, of course, but it was still a nice fight, better than you would think. Lt, had fun with it!.

Or were ya going easy on me 'cause ya knew I was half lit up?, lol... and how many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop?

Try it y'all, you just might like it.

The set up is okay for me except for the 163.

The japanese i don't believe had their versions of the 262 or 163 operational before the end of the war.

The 262 is a nice add for the Japanese forces however, and I think it should be left in the setup.

I don't see the point of the 163, and think it should go. It's roll with the luftwaffe was as a bomber interceptor. The Japanese copy was to be rolled as the same.  Haven't seen too many B26's or B17's in the setup.

So why is the 163 here?

Other than that, I am not a fan of Fantasy set ups to begin with (and that is just a personal preference, and not a slight on the hard work the CT staff does to bring us scenarios each week.), so I imagine I will be less of a presence in the CT this week.

For those who are having fun.....have at it... YOU GO GIRLS!

RTR

With an Alternate Reality setup like this we thought hard about aircraft and their intended roles. That is why the 163 is in the setup. It was a planned aircraft and the plans were delivered to the Japanese before the end of the war. Its purpose in here is to be a "spoiler" of sorts since it could be the Ohka or function as the Luftwaffe had it function as well.

Thanks for your comments.

Fuel Burn Rate changed to 1.0 for all aircraft. This still doesn't effect the Me163 and it has a minimal negative effect on the 234 and 262 aircraft ranges.

Thanks for the reply Reschke, appreciate it.

Please don't take my comments as negative on the whole, they were not intended to be a criticism of the CT staff.  I appreciate the hard work that goes into getting these scenarios to us.

It doesn't matter what you run as a scenario, it will never please all. As for the 163, thanks for the explanation.

Nice to see the F4U represented well though :)

cheers,

This setup looks great, thanks to everyone who worked on it.  There were all types of fights going on when I was in there.

Hats off to all.

No problem RTR I appreciate you giving it a try. Which is more than I can say for various others in all setups.

Okugi I dont remember the fight, I have had many over the past few days in the 163. The 163 is an awsome plane. It flys extreamly well, fast and slow. Most folks dont understand just how slow it will dogfight and how far it will glide. I can get it to out turn an A6M2 but its very hard. Spits are taost.

It takes time to slow down enough to dogfight (if I am fast), use limited ammo and be able to zoom out when needed! I fly it all the time off line and in the TA :D

However, squad nights (I fly allied) are going to be hell trying to find a target not guarded by the 163 and 262s and killer ack :(

I think it's gonna be one hell of a challenge (actually it already is). Kinda makes losses not sting as much and victories taste twice as sweet, imo. My K/D ratio this CT set is in the crabper. I'm having a blast. :D
