Hummm, funny....  was that the one that was flown on thursday...  because we did one then....  and I know none of my guys said anything...  Just curious...

I think *I* announced it over the Axis radio. I saw all the 78th and 325th on the roster and nobody up, so I upped a 100% fuel G10 with a DT from A10 and flew along the south coast of England setting off base sirens, I thought it might bring someone up. I knew something was up, just didnt know where you would up from, then a guy (not a CT regular) came over axis and said "what the heck are all those Allied guys doing just sittin at A14?". I had just flown over A14 so I did a 180 and cammped over it at about 30k. :) I believe, though I never asked so I dont know for sure, that I and the two other satellites over A14 made you change to a secondary field choice.

The rest was the usual:

Grits:"Raid!! Look at the dar at A15!!"
Oldman:"I think the target is A7"
Shane: "No way, its A2"
Oldman:"Could be"
Grits: "Is there a bridge near A7?"
Shane:"Why, you gonna drive there?"
Geist: "Its the ammo factory"
Grits: "Nope, I think Oldman is right, its A7"
Cobra412:"Holy crap thats a lot of P-47s!"
Shane: "dweebs" (not sure if he meant us or them) :)

Fast forward 10 min after 3 kills (should have been 6 but for my horrible gunnery)

Oldman:"well I guess Oldman and Grits were right, it was A7 afterall"

Really a ton of fun, and Im sorry I missed it last night's mission.

Actually it wasn't.... We were targeting the Train that ran North and South just West of the Ammo Factory.  That was Primary... then guys had secondary targets...We were trying to simulate some of the Air War the days just after D-Day, like hassling supply lines and etc.  Escort got chewed up pretty bad...but Jabo guys got home without one loss... so we took it as a success... it was fun... but for all that it took like 3 days to plan... watching the time schedule of the train and etc...  that is the kind of things we like to run...

That explains how i got fuel leaks on both main tanks of my f6, It looked like a seive when i landed :o

Ah ha! That is actually what I thought and the reason I asked about the bridge near A7, but I guess the Jabos hitting the secondary made us think that A7 was the real target.

Is there a mission being planned for Tuesday????

Judging from the comments I've just read, it looks like it might be worth a try.  My schedule normally does not allow for flights on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but I think I can get it in this week.

Thanks:aok

Well ya know Soulyss, I might eventually.  But it would be nice to see what goes on in one of them.:)  After all, I could be a spy for the other side  and be setting you up.

Actually, I think the real threat is setting up something that just won't work.
